The “BB finder” is now live

We are now happy to release (what we call) the “BB finder” on Airsoftdb (or AirsoftDB) so you as an airsoft player easily can find where to buy the BB products you are looking for.

This functionality is in early beta (and on experimental basis) just like this website itself so improvements are being made constantly.

The default view of the BB finder. The products are in random order and updates every hour.

Currently you can find BBs from around 40 different brands, but more will be added later on (as well as eg. more detailed tech spec lists).

How a product page for this product looks like for a visitor from Denmark.

Also with this, you will see the (indexed) retailers from your country first, per product. If there are no indexed shops in your country (with the specific product or not paired yet) you can choose to see a wider area.

The main functionality is still the search and at this point we have close to 400 indexed shops from around 36 countries (+ several states in the US). The work to add shops is an ongoing process and our goal is to add so many as possible, so visitors from all countries will get a good experience.

We hope that many enjoy what we do for the airsoft community.

Lets try the BB finder:

Also please let us know what you think about this and the functionality!

Happy New Airsoft Year 2018

Happy New Airsoft Year 2018!

It’s the end of the year and time to summarize the past and looking forward to the future. The year started with SHOT Show 2017 in Las Vegas, US closely followed by IWA OutdoorClassics 2017 in Nuremberg, Germany where we presented the new search widget at Airsoft Meetup. Some months later we released a second type of widget to be used in contexts related news and reviews. Several airsoft sites have adopted the widgets including PopularAirsoft, Airsoft Nation using the search widget for its product finder and stock checker respectively and NLAirsoft and Lundkvists Logement using the widget to find where to buy the reviewed product. In June we visited TWAAA Intl’ Camo Festival in Taipei, Taiwan and earlier this month we were present at MOA (Military/Outdoor/Airsoft) Exhibition, also in Taipei.

We’ve got more exposure and awareness of Airsoftdb – the tool to find products from shops and we’re more than happy about all positive feedback received from people we’ve met as well online via mail and other channels. We’re continuing working on our roadmap to improve Airsoftdb and you should expect to see more useful tools the upcoming year.

This is the second post in our blog this year and is something we will improve in 2018 but we’ll always prioritize the development of Airsoftdb to add more shops and enhance the experience and product. Nevertheless, Fredrik was interviewed by our friends at Airsoft Milsim News about the project and his career and background in Airsoft.

We’re sure that 2018 will be an awesome year for the airsoft community and looking forward to share news about Airsoftdb in the upcoming months.

Finally, the team from Airsoftdb wish you a Happy New Airsoft Year!

Airsoftdb presentation at Airsoft Meetup (IWA 2017)

Fredrik and Mikael held a presentation about Airsoftdb and the new widget at the event Airsoft Meetup (IWA 2017).

From now it’s possible for websites (eg. news and blogs) to get a widget for product search. The widget is free.

If you want to have the widget on your own website, please contact us for more information.

Happy New Airsoft Year 2017!

Today is the last day of 2016 and this year has been busy with the development of Airsoftdb both in terms of adding new shops and countries as well as general development, which includes some functionality that will be released next year. We’ve also attended the trade-shows SHOT Show 2016 and IWA 2016 and produced several videos together with the airsoft industry.

We want to thank everyone for the support and feedback we’ve received during the year from visitors, shop representants and representants from the airsoft industry.

In 2017 we will at least attend SHOT Show 2017 and IWA 2017.

Cheers and a Happy New Airsoft Year from the team behind Airsoftdb!

Videos from IWA 2016

Airsoftdb’s videos from IWA 2016.

Our videos will be added to this blog post. We don’t have videos from all airsoft exhibitors because in some cases it was the same products as was shown at their booths at SHOT Show.

Here is the playlist with all our videos from IWA 2016.

See a list with all our videos below.

We are ready for the exhibition IWA OutdoorClassics 2016 in Nuremberg, Germany.

The exhibition is between 4-7 March and we will meet many people and exhibitors from the airsoft industry.

We have already been at the exhibition Enforce Tac (for police and military) that is before IWA.

Our videos will be published on our Youtube-channel AirsoftdbTV.

Happy New Airsoft Year

Happy New Airsoft Year

The end of 2015 is near that included the release of the beta preview of Airsoftdb to let people search and find products related to airsoft from shops and stores worldwide. This has been a exciting year for us that started with the trade-show IWA in Germany and meetings with lots of people from the airsoft industry that saw interest and liked the project.

In the next year (2016) we will of course continue with the development and improve the experience in many ways including the features described in the previous blog post 4 months of Airsoftdb.

Cheers and a Happy New Airsoft Year from the team behind Airsoftdb!

4 months of Airsoftdb

Four months ago we released Airsoftdb with an early beta preview of a search engine to find products from shops and stores worldwide. It has been a bit quiet here in our blog and on our social media channels but behind the scenes we continue to add new shops and stores and improving the search engine.

We’re happy about the feedback we receive from both consumers, shops and the airsoft industry in general and as well suggestions of shops people want to have searchable. One of our most requested feature to add is more filters, such as only display products in stock, and our next large update will include that including a better search experience.
